The debug lines (CREATE_STATE, CREATE_PKCECODEVERIFIER, GET_AUTHORIZATION_URL) are Auth.js's OIDC flow, and the fact that Authentik logs a successful authorization but Homepage still fails means the break is specifically at the token exchange — Homepage's backend calling Authentik's

Hi @puhtahtoe! I'm Dosu and I'm helping the homepage team. The "invalid_client / Client authentication failed" message is a different failure from discussion #7068 (that one was a JWT signing algorithm mismatch, RS256 vs HS256). Yours happens at the token endpoint, where Homepage sends the client ID and secret to Authentik to exchange the authorization code for tokens [1] — and Authentik is rejecting those credentials. Since Authentik logs a successful authorization and you're getting a code and state back, the redirect URI isn't the problem here. The usual culprits are on the Authentik provider side: make sure the provider's client type is Confidential (a public client won't accept a client secret at all, which produces exactly this error), re-copy the Client ID and Secret straight from the provider page into your Can you tell me which client type your Authentik OAuth2 provider is set to, and whether regenerating the secret fresh and updating Written by @dosu, approved by shamoon To reply, just mention @dosu. Description
I'm trying to set up Authentik OIDC with Homepage but I'm having some trouble.
After attempting login, I'm seeing an "OAUTH_CALLBACK_ERROR" in the URL bar and in the logs.
The Homepage logs are also showing "invalid_client (Client authentication failed (e.g., unknown client, no client authentication included, or unsupported authentication method))"
Authentik is reporting a successful application authorization in its logs.
Based on checking the network tab in the browser tools, I can see that the redirect to Authentik happens then Authentik redirects back to Homepage with a code but then Homepage redirects to /api/auth/error?error=OAuthCallback
I have Authentik configured to accept any redirect URI right now to eliminate that as a possible problem.

Browser Logs
The browser console does show two instances of the following error before even attempting login:
site.webmanifest?v=4:1 Manifest: Line: 1, column: 1, Syntax error.
I can't share the exact logs due to the URLs containing my personal information but I can see Homepage redirecting to Authentik and Authentik redirecting back to Homepage with a code and a state.
Troubleshooting
I did find this other discussion - #7068
The symptoms seem very similar to my issue however, I tried the solution to that post and it did not fix my problem.
