Why should this be included in the repository?

Espanso is a highly configurable and versatile text expansion tool, and the only one I have tried that works well on Wayland across all apps, including Electron apps and browser. There is an AppImage available if you are running X11, however Wayland requires manual installation.

Currently I have managed to compile it manually for personal use and can confirm it runs flawlessly on Solus KDE using Wayland. It would be great if Solus could include Espanso as a package so that Wayland users can access it without needing to manually compile. Thank you for your consideration.

We have snippetexpander in the repo. What's the difference between them?

In my testing, I was not able to get Snippet Expander to reliably auto-expand across all apps in KDE/Wayland. This issue was raised here and it seems it unlikely to be fixed.

I have verified that Espanso can reliably auto-expand across all apps on Solus KDE running Wayland. This was the case in the Plasma 6.5.x series and continues to be so on 6.6.x. I have never encountered a problem with it.

As I do not use Budgie/GNOME or X11, this is speculative, but I presume that Snippet Expander may work fine for those users while users on KDE/Wayland may need another app. It would be useful to have Espanso available as an alternative app.
