The 5.x series sees a major overhaul to RSSGuard. Many things have changed or may no longer be supported. Custom filters may break and settings will be reset. 4.x series database is not compatible.
You are recommended to export your RSS feeds and copy your filters manually before upgrading then close/re-open rssguard and import your feeds.
