SUB/WAVE is a self-hosted personal internet radio station with an AI DJ. One Icecast stream, one broadcast. Everyone listening hears the same thing at the same moment. There's no skip button and no per-listener shuffle, because it's radio, not a playlist app. That's the whole point.
The DJ plays your own music library (Navidrome or any Subsonic server), talks between tracks, runs shows with guest co-hosts, and takes song requests in plain language. You run it with one docker compose up -d. It works fully local if you want, with Ollama for the model and a local TTS engine for the voice.
A few things it is not: not a Spotify replacement, not AI-generated music, not a way to stream per-person playlists. It needs a music library and a Docker host. If that's a dealbreaker for you, that's fair.
Where things stand: open source under MIT, native iOS and Android apps are out, there's a public station directory where people share their stations, and a community content repo for personas, shows, and skills. Current release is v0.42.1. The project is young and shipping fast.

What this Discussions area is for: questions, station sharing, persona and show ideas, feature requests, and anything else that doesn't fit a GitHub issue. If you've got a station running, drop it in here. If you're stuck on setup, ask. If you want a co-host that does a weekly metal show, tell me what you're imagining.
Glad you're here.
