Going to vouch you because I'm curious how you implemented this in Gnome, which really resists programs manipulating their windows in this way. This may ultimately get rejected as these sorts of manipulations of the window can be seen as a security risk (a malicious program could resize itself down to 1x1 cell or something like that to hide it's activity from the user) or could just be really annoying. We've had informal discussions about these sorts of escape codes since that issue but we never wrote anything down and the general consensus was we were against such escapes (or at least I am). |

What do you want to change?
I'd like to implement window resizing (CSI 8 t) from #1115 for my TUI.
I have a working, tested branch coming as a PR to Ghostty now, and the feature is off by default.
Why do you want to make this change?
I don't use Hyprland to resize my windows and just do it as needed. This feature gives me the ability to resize my TUI's without having to manually do so. Every terminal I've used before has this feature and I found it missing from Ghostty, which was surprising to me, so I added it and am submitting a PR now.
I acknowledge that:
