Hi there!

My name is Gio. I run strategy and innovation inside a listed bank during the day. I build things in public whenever I'm not banking.

Bankers love talking about digital assets, yet most never opened a non custodial wallet. The crypto crowd has never read a regulation in their lives. I sit in both camps - and I'd rather build than talk about it.

This profile is the build-in-public side of that. Real things, narrated honestly. Some of it works, some of it doesn't. Some of it is a prototype held together with intent.

Some of the stuff I've actually done

Founded an innovation lab and corporate VC for a listed bank. Led GCC's first bank-backed tokenized money market fund to get regulatory approval. Board seats across Central Asia, AI councils, AI startups, national innovation funds, the occasional UN side event. Twenty years, ten countries, one consistent bet: institutions, AI models and onchain protocols are converging, but until they do we'll need bridges and translators.

⭐ Stuff I'm currently building

  • 🧠 The Panel - a synthetic focus group. Multiple model lineages, blind-first independent round, forced dissent. Pre-research, not research replacement.
  • 📑 The Whitepaper Translator - turns institutional finance language into Web3, normie and back. My entire thesis as a tool.
  • 🏦 Core Banking prototype - a generic, illustrative core banking system. Built to find out how far one person can get.
  • 👗 closet-kit - a wardrobe app, stripped to an open starter kit. Bring your own closet. MIT, no support, just the engine.
  • 🪙 Exit Liquidity - a hyperrealistic tongue-in-cheek, potentially sarcastic crypto game. Not as serious but still seriously fun to build!

Also made a 15-track album with AI, because the tooling was there and I wanted to see if it could. Not financial advice. Occasionally good code.
