Description
Describe the bug
New Ubuntu VM installed, only installed copilot and tried to do the login process, but just hangs on that authorization message. I don't think this has anything to do with the VM, but I'll mention the details as well.
Affected version
GitHub Copilot CLI 0.0.418.
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- Create a new VM using "ubuntu-24.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso".
- Install using the command "wget -qO- https://gh.io/copilot-install | bash" as curl was not installed.
- Ran the install script a second time because I forgot about reopening terminal to make "copilot" command work.
- Start a new terminal session, run copilot and then "/login" after the initial trust folder prompts.
- Visit https://github.com/login/device and complete the process.
- Message on website shows successful, but copilot in the VM is just stuck on "Waiting for authorization..." with no progress. Text flickers occasionally.
Expected behavior
Login should be successful.
