Description
Description
When Copilot CLI is open, selecting text in the terminal causes it to be automatically copied. This only happens while Copilot CLI is running and goes away on exit, but returns every time Copilot is reopened.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Copilot CLI (
copilot) - Select any text in the terminal with the mouse
Expected Behavior
Text selection behaves normally — no auto-copy on selection.
Actual Behavior
Selected text is automatically copied on selection while Copilot CLI is active.
Environment
- Terminal emulators affected: iTerm2, macOS Terminal.app
- OS: macOS
- Shell: zsh
Notes
- Does not persist after exiting Copilot.
- Not related to zsh configuration (verified).
- Workaround: Hold Option while selecting text to bypass mouse reporting and use native terminal selection.
