The hourly fuzzy schedule keyword was already implemented but undocumented. Users writing on: hourly get deterministic minute scattering similar to daily, preventing load spikes from synchronized workflow execution.

Changes

  • Documentation: Added hourly to schedule formats table with example showing hourly58 */1 * * * (compiler-assigned minute)
  • Documentation: Added usage example in fuzzy scheduling section showing on: schedule: hourly
  • Documentation: Updated load spike warning to include hourly in recommended fuzzy schedule list

Example

---
name: Periodic Health Check
on: hourly
engine: copilot
---

Compiles to:

on:
  schedule:
  - cron: "58 */1 * * *" # Minute deterministically assigned per workflow
    # Friendly format: hourly (scattered)
  workflow_dispatch:

Also works with intervals: every 2h, every 6 hours, etc.

Original prompt

Support for a fuzzy schedule "hourly" that scatters the minute similarly to "daily"

on: hourly
