The discussions toolset was shipped in v1.0.5 and is documented as one of the 9 configurable toolsets. However, it is not exposed when connecting via the hosted remote endpoint at api.githubcopilot.com/mcp (e.g. via the claude.ai web connector).
Users connecting via the remote endpoint only see ~26 tools, all scoped to issues, PRs, repos, and code. There is no way for remote endpoint users to configure which toolsets are enabled — that's controlled server-side by GitHub.
Self-hosted users can enable discussions via --toolsets discussions, but remote endpoint users have no equivalent option.
Ask: Enable the discussions toolset on the hosted remote endpoint, or document how remote endpoint users can opt into additional toolsets.
