We are in the process of cleaning up the GitHub Services repo and deprecating support for services that are no longer used. GitHub users will no longer be able to add the socialcast service to repositories and existing configurations of this service will be deactivated and removed.
As we are no longer accepting feature changes or updates to existing github-services, we recommend creating webhooks to build a first class GitHub integration. You can read our developer documents for more information on building a first class GitHub integration and listing it in the GitHub integrations directory.
We will merge this PR on July 11th 2016 so please comment if you need more time to move to webhooks.
