Can't see open ports or the shared button on status bar. Pop-ups not showing either

Bug description

Hi there, normally you see the status of your workspace on the bottom left of your workspace (e.g. shared) and you can toggle. In addition, it normally shows open posts on the bottom right. In addition, when you open a post e.g. 8000, it asks do you want to open in your browser...none of these are working for me..

Steps to reproduce

I turned on the gitpod chrome extension. I have checked if there are items I am not showing in the status bar but everything looks fine there...

Workspace affected

Expected behavior

I expect to see the shared status on the bottom left of the status bar. In addition, I expect to see the open ports on the bottom right of my workspace. And finally, when I open a port, I expect a pop-up asking do I want to open this in a browser..

Hi @fergalquinn77, something might be going wrong within your browser if you're using Gitpod on browser. You might want to check the console logs and/or try a different browser. Additionally, please follow this to help our IDE team to help you.

@fergalquinn77 I took a look at the logs but nothing concrete on them, does this happen with all of your workspaces? if so, when it happens again, could you open browser developer tools and share the logs (those are fine to share here)
