Releases: glpecile/niseroid
Release list
v1.17.0-niseroid.6
Fast forward button no longer overlaps the mic button on DS layouts; it moved to the free slot on the right side.
v1.17.0-niseroid.5
The fast forward touch button now shows its state: it points forward at normal speed and backward while the game is sped up, so a glance tells you where the next press goes. The toast still names the speed.
v1.17.0-niseroid.4
Import saves
Settings > Advanced settings > Import saves. Pick a folder and Niseroid copies saves, states and state-previews out of it. Existing files are kept unless the imported one is newer.
To bring over Lemuroid, first copy its files somewhere the picker can reach — Android/data itself is off limits to apps and to the picker on Android 11+:
Android/data/com.swordfish.lemuroid/files -> Downloads/lemuroid-files
Do that with a file manager that can browse Android/data (Xiaomi's file manager, or anything with Shizuku) or from a computer over USB, then point the importer at Downloads/lemuroid-files. Both that folder and its individual saves / states subfolders are valid picks.
Also in this build: nothing else, see v1.17.0-niseroid.3 for the fast forward toggle and menu fixes.
v1.17.0-niseroid.3
Fast forward and game menu fixes.
Changes
- The touch fast forward button is now a toggle: it switches between 1x and the last speed you picked in the game menu (2x if you never picked one). A toast shows which one you switched to.
- Fixed a crash when the button was pressed while the game was still loading. Speed and mute changes now reach the core only once it has rendered its first frame; they are still persisted and applied as soon as it does.
- Tap outside the game menu panel to close it.
- Removed the "Fast-forward cycle" setting, which no longer had any effect.
Using your Lemuroid saves
Launch Niseroid once, then copy from a computer over USB:
Android/data/com.swordfish.lemuroid/files/{saves,states,state-previews}
-> Android/data/xyz.glpecile.niseroid/files/
Android 11+ blocks Android/data in the stock Files app, so use USB/MTP or a file manager with Shizuku. Point Niseroid at the same ROM folder and rescan; saves attach by ROM name.
Niseroid 1.17.0 (2)
Adds an on-screen fast forward button. Everything from the previous build is still in.
New
- Fast forward button in the touch controls — sits on the left dial, mirroring the ☰ menu button, in the slot upstream leaves empty. Tap to cycle 1x → 2x → 4x → 8x → 16x (follows your Fast-forward cycle setting); a toast shows the new speed. Present on 22 of the 25 layouts — DOS and Lynx arrange their own secondary buttons and have no free slot.
- Toggling fast forward via a gamepad shortcut now toasts the speed too.
From the first build
- Multi-speed fast forward (1x–16x) in the game menu — Lemuroid#1115 by @mdevolde.
- Fast forward and mute persist between sessions.
- The game menu stays open when you toggle mute, fast forward, disk or tilt.
- Black launcher icon and a cyan accent.
Bringing your Lemuroid saves over
Saves and states live in Android/data/<package>/files/, so they can be copied across:
/sdcard/Android/data/com.swordfish.lemuroid/files/saves → /sdcard/Android/data/xyz.glpecile.niseroid/files/saves
/sdcard/Android/data/com.swordfish.lemuroid/files/states → .../xyz.glpecile.niseroid/files/states
/sdcard/Android/data/com.swordfish.lemuroid/files/state-previews → .../xyz.glpecile.niseroid/files/state-previews
Launch Niseroid once first so the folders exist. On Android 11+ the stock Files app can't browse Android/data — use USB/MTP from a computer, or a file manager with Shizuku. Point Niseroid at the same ROM folder and rescan; the library rebuilds and the saves attach by ROM name.
Niseroid 1.17.0
First Niseroid build, forked from Lemuroid 1.17.0 (53752bf).
Installs alongside Lemuroid — different application id (xyz.glpecile.niseroid), so your existing install and its saves are untouched.
Changes
- Multi-speed fast forward (1x–16x) in the game menu — Lemuroid#1115 by @mdevolde, cherry-picked.
- Fast forward and mute persist between sessions instead of resetting to 1x / unmuted every launch.
- The game menu stays open when you toggle mute, fast forward, disk or tilt, so you can change several things in one visit. (Mobile menu only; the TV menu still closes.)
- Black launcher icon and a cyan accent, to tell it apart from Lemuroid at a glance.
Install
niseroid-1.17.0.apk is the freeDynamic build: cores are downloaded on first use, same as upstream's GitHub builds. Signed with a fork-specific key, so it cannot be updated over an existing Lemuroid install — install it as a new app.
