Semantic Web technologies are emerging as an important platform to distribute and integrate life science data. The UniCarbKB-RDF project provides RDF formatted information for the UniCarbKB glycan structures, taxonomic associations, glycoprotein information including site and global attachment with UniProt links, supporting bibliographic details, and reported analytical techniques.

Soon experimental information from our international LC-MS data UniCarb-DB and public HPLC data will be added.

UniCarbKB users have expressed interest in downloading the database. By using UniCarbKB-RDF developers and researches will be able to query the database using SPARQL interfaces and download content in RDF formatted files. Users will be able to construct queries that ask specific questions of the data stored in UniCarbKB. In addition, the database will be updated on a regular basis and by using RDF/SPARQL users will have access to the most upto date release of UniCarbKB.

Please note that the project is evolving and we intend to add new functionality and enhancements to this exciting technology.
