When using the built-in variable gitea.run_attempt it does not output any number.

What is the state of this? We have need for this variable and it appears that it is still misbehaving in the 1.24.6 release of Gitea. There was some comments back in January about some needed updates, but it seems like this is still waiting in the wings.
