Would it be possible to give each task that is running its own internal unique id: "{{.TASK_UUID}}"?

Why exactly?

It's already possible to populate a VAR via a command, which could achieve that. However I suspect you want something different, like a SHA over the task definition, or perhaps the compiled definition (after vars are evaluated).

Agree with @trulede. The use case is not clear to me. The way you have described the feature can be achieved with other tools (uuidgen etc). Going to close this for now.
