Your first 2D game shortcut instructions

Issue description:

I finished the full tutorial. In the last part it shows how to add a shortcut to start the game pressing the ENTER key. I followed the instructions very carefully a few times, but I couldn't get it to work at all. It seems like something is missing from the explanation, but I am not sure.

Select "Project" -> "Project Settings" and then click on the "Input Map" tab. In the same way you created the movement input actions, create a new input action called start_game and add a key mapping for the Enter key.

I followed these steps:

• Clicked Array[InputEvent]
• Clicked Add Element.
• Clicked and selected New InputEventAction.
• Clicked in the newly selected InputEventAction.
• Filled the action field with "start_game".

So, answering your question:

create a new input action called start_game

YES

add a key mapping for the Enter key

NO, because the tutorial don't say where exactly. In the InputEventAction there is only these fields: Action (that I filled with start_game), Pressed, Strength, Device, Local to Scene, Path and Name.

What am I missing?

You missed the instructions then, it says "in the project settings" right there 🙂
