This pull request begins the process of dropping support for Python 3.10 by updating requires-python and the mypy configuration. However, the changes are incomplete. To fully drop support, you should also remove the Python 3.10 classifier from pyproject.toml and remove py310 from the envlist in tox.ini. I've added a specific comment regarding the classifier.
