Hi ADK Web folks — I maintain BidiLens, an MIT-licensed toolkit for mixed RTL/LTR text. I wanted to share a renderer-side resource, rather than propose a dependency change to ADK.
A useful case for agent UIs is Persian prose that begins with an English identifier:
React یک کتابخانه جاوااسکریپت بسیار محبوب است.First-strong direction and the author's intended paragraph direction can differ. Direction also needs to remain independent of alignment: Persian text can intentionally be left-aligned.Your Markdown component uses ngx-markdown. A small, test-only exploration at that rendering boundary could cover Persian/English paragraphs, punctuation, inline code, and streamed updates while preserving the original message text. Code-copy controls and Mermaid output would need separate checks; changing agent events or inserting display controls into prompts/tool arguments would not be part of this.
We recently contributed a native mixed-direction message example to PersianLabs, now merged, with no new dependency. That is an example of the approach, not a claim that PersianLabs adopted BidiLens.
I have not reproduced a specific ADK Web bug, so this is a Show and tell resource, not a defect report. BidiLens cannot infer author intent perfectly, and framework-owned DOM should not be patched by an external observer. Explicit direction or native HTML may be sufficient.
Would a small set of renderer fixtures be useful here? Happy to follow your preferred scope before preparing any code contribution.
