Button animation does not respect `overflow:hidden`

If the button area is clipped by its parent (by setting style overflow:hidden) the tap-animation is shown in the clipped areas.

I only tried this with Chrome 40.0, 64-bit on Linux.

Do you have a minimal test case using overflow:hidden that we can use?

Has any progress been made on this? I'm observing a similar problem in a custom element -- children of an element with border-radius: 50% are not being clipped as expected. If I put the same DOM / CSS outside of a polymer element, it works fine.
