Exit / Close button always goes back to root

The X exit / close button at the top left of each codelab always returns me to the root directory. What if my site lives in a subdirectory?

For example:

id: foobar
Summary: Some summary
URL: something
status: published
author: blah

# Some content...
...

I want to upload to a subfolder of test so that the URL is: https://mysite.com/test/foobar

I want the close link to return to https://mysite.com/test

I've hacked a workaround to this but it'd be nice to have this in product.
