Description
This issue is created to formalize the process for the regular review, update, and maintenance of the core documentation located at: https://govcircle.gitbook.io/circle-paper.
As the product and architecture (especially in the Blockchain space, such as Cardano/Midnight Ecosystem) evolve, it is critical to ensure that our technical paper remains the single source of truth—clear, accurate, and consistent for all stakeholders (developers, technical managers, community members, and potential partners).
🎯 Goal (Scrum Master Perspective)
Establish a sustainable cadence for documentation quality assurance to minimize technical debt and maximize clarity, thus reducing ambiguity and improving velocity for implementation teams and adoption confidence for the community.
✅ Acceptance Criteria (Technical Writer Perspective)
The issue is considered complete when the following tasks have been executed for the entire documentation suite:
Phase 1: Accuracy & Consistency
[ ] Technical Review: Collaborate with the Software Architects/Product Managers to review all sections for technical accuracy against the current state of the protocol/implementation.
[ ] Terminology Consistency: Ensure all key terms (e.g., "smart contract," "governance circle," "Midnight," "Cardano") are used consistently throughout the document, adhering to a defined style guide.
[ ] Clarity and Tone: Revise complex or ambiguous passages to improve clarity and maintain a professional, consistent tone suitable for a technical paper/whitepaper.
Phase 2: Structure & Usability
[ ] Link Validation: Check all internal and external hyperlinks for validity and update/remove any broken or outdated links.
[ ] Diagram & Example Audit: Review all diagrams, code snippets, and technical examples. Ensure they are up-to-date and accurately reflect the current system design and any recent changes.
[ ] Navigation & Indexing: Verify the table of contents and internal linking structure to ensure logical flow and optimal user navigation.
Phase 3: Maintenance Process
[ ] Define a proposed Documentation Review Cadence (e.g., monthly check, quarterly deep dive) for future maintenance.
