Grant @grantmcdermott, I noticed that the
READMEfigures account for much of thetinyplottarball size. The uncompressedfigures/folder is 3.3M (4800 x 3000 pixels each). I think that this is more than really needed.Changing the options to
dpi = 100(from300) reduces the size of each image to 1600 x 1000 pixels and the folder size becomes 556K . My feeling is that this should be sufficient and the images still look good.If you disagree, feel free to simply reject the PR and delete the branch.
