Add getAndRemoveStickyEvent(Class<T> eventType) method.

Now we have to remove sticky events after receiving them. Maybe it will be better to do it automatically.

Is your intention atomic behavior so that exactly one subscriber processes a sticky event?

If I understand correctly, now, if I processed sticky event, it continues to be available, and can be received again, until I call removeStickyEvent. Am I right?

A sticky event sticks around. Until it's removed.

Ok. The only scenario I'm using sticky events is to send events to the objects (mostly fragments) that are not created at the time of event sending, but are expected to start in the closest future (for example I've committed transaction to the FragmentManager, and sending event to the fragment started creating), or to the objects, whos availability is unknown right now. And I want this object (fragment) to receive this event only once. As for me - it is pretty logical, but maybe I understand "sticky" goal incorrectly.

So, you are aiming at a "receive exactly once" semantic? This would have to be atomic and is currently not supported.

PS.: I kind of like that idea. Sticky events are intended for another scenario, but maybe both can be done in a similar way.

👍 the same sticky event is received many times after onPause and onResume and this is fix for this:

public void onEventMainThread(Messages msgReceived) {
            EventBus.getDefault().removeStickyEvent(msgReceived);
            newMessage(msgReceived);
}

@Override
    public void onStop() {
        EventBus.getDefault().unregister(this);
        super.onStop();
    }

    @Override
    public void onStart() {
        super.onStart();
        EventBus.getDefault().registerSticky(this);
    }
