Should BlockOS be Linux-based or independent?

This is an important decision for the future of BlockOS.

Should BlockOS use the Linux kernel, or should we continue developing our own kernel and OS base?

If you want to learn OS dev, you either have to fork something or have a direct line with GOD, like Terry Davis.

You are using AI (That fine), and AI will remove friction. Removing friction is what will make you a bad dev and just following what sound nice to the Parrots.

So my advice as a Kernel dev (You can see my work in difference OSes), start with Linux or FreeBSD , or if you really like old hardware -> NetBSD.

Take 1 subsystem and try to make it better or to rip it out and see how what break.

Those OSes already run Doom, so you not coming /r/osdev or whatever with an achievement like a caveman in 2026 who discovered fire or found out that the sea could have fishes.

Nobody cares anymore.

I glanced code you have in your repo, at this pace, you will need at least 1 decade refactatoring to get something correct.

Some of your Roadmap items , need to be done NOW.
Few Pre AI OSes died because they didn't have them.

Nice to see more people in the field.
