Add more file types: doc,docx,xls,xlsx and open office

In the description you say "Pluggable: add new custom type matchers" , by the way the links doesn't work.

Do I need to modify your code or there is a function call or something, I don't see any example ?

docx is recognize as zip (which it is), I suppose I need a second step to extract the archive and do a check again ?

I think you are right. In that case, I don't think that should bè implémentés within the context if this library.

My question is sort of related, I want to verify three sets of file types PDF (.pdf ) , Images ( png or jpg ) and Word documents ( .doc or .docx ) my requirements is such that I only want to access those files but nothing else. I realized that I can easily check for pdfs and images but not word documents, could some one let me know how to achieve this using this library ?

I came here looking for an alternative to python-magic because of its dependencies and requirements for different operating systems.

I thought this was it, but not detecting .doc or .docx or .xlsx files is a deal-breaker for my requirements. Is there a way I can add this on my own? Is there some steps documented somewhere to add more mime types / extensions?
