This is the first public pilot release of AutoChat, a Windows desktop business messaging automation app designed for Pakistani SMEs that use WhatsApp as a primary customer communication channel.
AutoChat helps small businesses manage customer conversations, answer product-related questions, use business-specific knowledge, support voice-note transcription, and keep the business owner in control through manual, approval, and auto-reply modes.
This release is intended for controlled testing, early feedback, and pilot deployment.

AI Reply System
- Generates customer-service replies using business context
- Supports English, Urdu, Roman Urdu, and mixed-language conversations
- Uses respectful customer-service tone
- Avoids unsafe casual wording
- Avoids inventing unverified stock, pricing, delivery, or supplier details
Product Catalog Manager
- Add and manage products from the desktop app
- Store product name, category, price, stock status, description, URL, and tags
- Smart product search using keywords, synonyms, and customer phrasing
- Safer product replies using verified catalog data
Human Control Modes
- Manual Mode: Messages are saved, but AutoChat does not generate or send replies
- Approval Mode: AutoChat creates editable AI drafts and waits for owner approval
- Auto Mode: AutoChat sends replies automatically after generation
For this pilot release, Approval Mode is strongly recommended.
Customer Memory
- Save customer-specific preferences, notes, warnings, and order-related details
- Memory is isolated per customer
- Helps personalize replies without mixing customer information
Training Inbox
- Save unknown questions as reusable knowledge
- Add answers as FAQ, policy, product knowledge, general business knowledge, one-time reply, or customer memory
- Helps improve AutoChat safely with owner-approved knowledge
Supplier Desk
- Manage supplier-dependent requests
- Create supplier cases
- Save supplier replies
- Generate customer-safe updates
- Hide supplier identity, internal cost, margins, and procurement details from customers
Voice Note Transcription
- Transcribes customer voice notes into text
- Saves transcripts inside the chat flow
- Sends transcripts into the same AI reply pipeline used for typed messages
Voice replies are not the main focus of this release and may be treated as an optional future/premium capability.

Recommended Pilot Settings
For first-time testing, use:
- Auto Reply: Enabled
- Approval Mode: Enabled
- Voice Transcription: Enabled
- Voice Replies: Disabled
- Human Review: Required before sending replies
This setup keeps the business owner in control while testing AutoChat with real customer conversations.
Important Notes
- This repository contains release files only.
- Source code is not included.
- Do not share API keys, license keys, customer data, WhatsApp messages, or private business information in public issues.
- AI-generated replies should be reviewed before sending during pilot testing.
- AutoChat does not guarantee live stock, price, delivery, or supplier availability unless the business has verified that information.
Known Limitations
- This is an early pilot build.
- Some workflows may require manual supervision.
- Windows packaging and installer behavior may continue to improve.
- Voice reply support may be limited depending on voice provider/API access.
- Future versions may include improved onboarding, database migration, product import/export, logs, automatic updates, and expanded platform support.
