v0.7.0 — Lightweight /pickup rewrite + provenance cleanup
What's New
/park: inline quality check (fix)
The quality check step (Phase 4) was spawning an Explore sub-agent (Haiku) to lint/proofread modified files. This inherited ~50k+ tokens of conversation context, used 16 tool calls over 42 seconds, and returned one sentence. Opus already has the full context loaded — the check now runs inline in the main conversation. Faster, cheaper, no duplicated context.
/oops: lesson generalisation guidance (improvement)
Strengthened the Guidelines section to enforce lessons that actually generalise. The old guidance ("transferable lessons: should help in future similar situations") was too vague — lessons were coming out object-level (domain-specific tips rather than reasoning principles). New guidance includes:
- The "different domain" test: would this lesson help in a completely unrelated situation?
- A concrete before/after example showing the abstraction move
- Title guidance: prefer the abstract pattern over the specific instance
/win command (new)
Counterpart to /oops. Where /oops captures mistakes to avoid repetition, /win captures what worked to enable repetition. Same 4-phase structure: scan conversation → extract pattern (Win / Why it worked / Pattern) → log to 07 System/Claude Wins Log.md → check for recurring patterns worth promoting. Trigger with "win", "nailed it", or "nice, log that".
/pickup rewrite (26KB → 4KB)
The old /pickup was a 26KB interactive menu system — shell script pre-scanning, project clustering, hide/snooze, pagination — that burned significant context before work even began. It was reconstructing information that /goodnight had already synthesised into daily reports.
New /pickup reads 3-5 files and completes in one turn:
- Works in Progress (what's active)
- 1-2 most recent daily reports (open loops, tomorrow's queue, blockers)
- Today's session file (if any)
- Tickler (due items)
Presents a concise landscape, asks what to work on. That's it.
Deleted: pickup-scan.sh (orphaned), .pickup-hidden system (solved a problem the menu created).
Script path fix (deployment bug)
All commands now reference $VAULT_PATH/.claude/scripts/ instead of ~/.claude/scripts/. The vault is fully self-contained — no extra symlink or copy step needed during setup. This fixes a first-run failure where /pickup and /park couldn't find their shell scripts.
Affected commands: pickup, park, checkpoint
Provenance: SSOT refactor + opt-in by default
/provenanceis now the single source of truth for all provenance logic (paths, hashing, OTS, table format)- Provenance is opt-in — no longer auto-invoked by
/park,/checkpoint, or/goodnight. Users who want automatic logging can add a provenance step referencingprovenance.mdas SSOT. - Moved provenance files from
07 System/to06 Archive/Provenance/(log, OTS proofs, lock file) - Added selective disclosure — documented how to share provenance for a specific project without exposing unrelated sessions
- Removed ~93 lines of duplicated provenance logic from park/checkpoint/goodnight
- Fixed stale cross-references in DESIGN.md and verify-provenance.md
Stale reference cleanup
Updated cross-references in awaken, park, DESIGN.md, CLAUDE.md, README, and Context Navigation to reflect the new pickup behaviour. No more mentions of interactive menus, two-stage loading, or session scanning.
Upgrading
Run /update inside Claude Code, or manually:
git fetch template
git checkout template/main -- .claude/commands/ .claude/scripts/ CLAUDE.md DESIGN.md README.md "07 System/README - Context Navigation.md"
chmod +x .claude/scripts/*.sh
git commit -m "Update CCO commands from template v0.7.0"Note: If you have a .pickup-hidden file at 06 Archive/Claude Sessions/.pickup-hidden, you can safely delete it — it's no longer used.
Note: If you previously had provenance files at 07 System/AI Provenance Log.md or 07 System/Provenance/, move them to 06 Archive/Provenance/. The lock file moves from 07 System/.provenance-lock to 06 Archive/Provenance/.lock.
