Hi @hberntsen,
I was trying to get a Wemos C3 mini to run with an existing PCB from Nodo-Shop with no luck. So I searched for an alternative to put into the PCB. The Lilygo T-OI Plus fits just fine and does offer free GPIOs. It also offers features not needed like battery management.

Running your latest version without the need of CS Loopback you mentioned here #15 (comment) without any problems (no longtime test as of now). Will test a bit more the coming weeks.
That way existing PCBs running with ESP8266 can easily switch over to ESP32 C3 and your releases. I guess the PCB from Nodo-Shop is based on the design of fonske (https://github.com/ginkage/MHI-AC-Ctrl-ESPHome/blob/master/JLCPCB/Hardware.md).
If nothing bad happens you can add this configuration to running configurations.
