Hi all! I built a small desktop companion for Headroom and thought it might be useful to others here.
Trimbit sits in your menu bar (or system tray) and shows what your local Headroom proxy is saving you, live.

Tokens removed this session and lifetime, read from Headroom's local /stats Honest cost estimates. Dollar figures are marked ≈. Only Headroom's compression is counted; the provider's prompt-cache discount is shown separately for context. There's also a "How?" view that shows the formula, and it tells you when Headroom is pricing at the flat $3/1M fallback because LiteLLM isn't available. Proxy status (online / degraded / offline), version and uptime, plus a notification if the proxy goes down Native: Liquid Glass on macOS 26, Acrylic on Windows, and Linux support. Small download, signed auto-updates. Local only. It reads stats from loopback and never touches the credential fields in /stats. It's free and open source (Apache-2.0):Site: https://trimbit.oguztozkoparan.com/

To be clear, this is an independent, unofficial project and isn't affiliated with Headroom. It relies on /stats, which isn't a formal API, so if the format changes Trimbit will show a warning rather than wrong numbers.
Feedback welcome, especially from Windows and Linux users, since I've mostly tested on macOS.
