Beta build for testing. Works best on version 1.15 of the game.

Changelog

  • Fixed to work on SMBZ-G v1.15
  • Migrated mod to use the CharLoader mod as a base
    • With this. Mario 64 is now available as a separate character slot instead of having to enable a setting on Mario's character

Installation

Video tutorial here if you prefer

  • If your game doesn't have MelonLoader installed: get the MelonLoader Installer for your OS and install it to the directory where SMBZ-G is located.
  • Download and install the latest version of the CharLoader mod by extracting it to the SMBZ-G directory where the EXE is located
  • Download the 7z file that matches the game version you have.
    • Windows x86 (32 bit) version of the game: SMBZ64-x86.7z
    • Windows x64 (64 bit) version of the game: SMBZ64-x64.7z
    • Linux x64 version of the game: SMBZ64-x64-Linux.7z
  • Extract the contents of the 7z file to the SMBZ-G directory where the EXE is located
  • Place the SM64 US ROM in the game's directory and name it sm64.z64
