Are you planning on ever adding android development support?

I think it's possible. The Android IDE project had that feature. Also, it may be hard because of the heavy gradle dependencies and memory constraints (That's why they abandoned that project) on android.
However, you can try setup gradle and android tool chain in termux, then connect termux with roxum to execute code directly on termux from roxum.
