Describe the Bug

I open the flatpak, I click add files, game crashes

Running it in console gives me

This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)'.

run flatpak
click add files

Expected Behavior

The game should open my file picker

Try opening with:

It now doesn't show anything on my screen, it's open but doesn't actually render anything. This is so odd

Hey, I found out what the issue was
The issue is that steam deck is using x11 and Recompiled unleashed does not support x11
And solution to this is to use nested desktop through gaming mode since steam deck switches to Wayland when launching through gaming mode.

You can use desktop through gaming mode via this command

steamos-add-to-steam /usr/bin/steamos-nested-desktop

After trying again with nested desktop everything works and I can add files now

Same crash on KDE/Plasma (Breeze GTK theme): the file dialog aborts with
gtk_css_value_inherit_free: code should not be reached.

Workaround until the portal fix (#1437) lands — force a sane GTK theme:

flatpak override --user --env=GTK_THEME=Adwaita io.github.hedge_dev.unleashedrecomp

Restart the app, "Add Files" works after that.
