Welcome to the php-book2 wiki!
Your priority should be getting comfortable with things like functions, arrays, strings, forms, files, sessions, OOP basics, PDO/MySQL, error handling, classes, namespaces, Composer, and building complete small apps. Once normal PHP starts feeling natural, internals will make much more sense.
A good trigger point for starting PHP internals seriously would be when you can build a small app without constantly asking, “what function do I need here?” You don’t need to be advanced, but you should be comfortable reading ordinary PHP code.
- PHP 8.2+
- Composer
- JavaScript (focus: visualization, data structures, UI)
- Laravel
- C (focus: data structures, PHP internals)
- MySQL
- Bash
- Docker
- Chart.js
- Three.js
- Linux (ubuntu)
- CSS & Tailwind (visualization & layouts)
But you do not need to “master Bash” deeply at first. Learn the practical shell skills: cd ls pwd mkdir rm cp mv cat less grep find chmod chown ps kill systemctl ssh curl pipes | redirection > >> environment variables
Then basic Bash scripting: if for while variables functions
Bash stack:
- Linux commands
- Git
- MySQL CLI
- PHP CLI
- Composer
- Nginx tools
- Docker
