• AI styles now match your photo's orientation — AI-generated images keep the same portrait or landscape direction as your original photo. If you took a portrait shot, the AI result stays portrait too, no more unexpected cropping or squishing

• GoPro slow-mo videos now keep the correct orientation — portrait slow-mo clips no longer come out rotated sideways in the final output
• GoPro slow-mo videos now include audio — the microphone audio track was being silently dropped during processing. It now carries through correctly into the final clip

The overlay and video now composite correctly so the camera feed shows through the transparent areas while the frame stays opaque

• Black background removal for overlays — animated overlays with dark edges or black backgrounds now look cleaner. Choose from Auto (lets the app decide), Off (use native transparency), or set a custom strength to strip away black areas. Find it in the slow-mo / 360 settings under Capture

Fixes

• Welcome and mode select screen overlays now respect your settings — the hardcoded dark gradients were covering up your custom overlay colours. If you set a custom overlay in the screen designer, it now shows exactly as configured instead of being hidden behind a fixed gradient
• Duplicating "New Event" names no longer fails — if an event named "New Event" already exists, the app now automatically adds a number ("New Event 2", "New Event 3") so you can keep creating without hitting a wall
• Event creation errors now tell you what went wrong — instead of a generic "Could not create event" message, you'll see the actual reason so you know what to fix

• Sharing station no longer mixes media from different events — each station browser now only shows photos and videos from the event it's viewing. If you're running multiple events, guests won't see media from other events anymore
• Fixed sharing station connection issues — WebSocket reconnections are now more reliable, preventing duplicate connections or stale data after navigating between galleries
• Fixed video player race condition in the station lightbox — navigating between videos no longer risks showing the wrong video or leaving the player stuck from a previous load

• Fixed app crash on launch (white screen) — the preload script failed to load in sandbox mode because of an unresolvable import, causing window.api to never be exposed. The entire app, including the operator dashboard, system settings, and updater banner, was broken as a result. This release fixes the preload by inlining the problematic constant
• Updates now apply when you quit the app — autoInstallOnAppQuit was previously disabled, which meant that if the renderer was unavailable (e.g. due to the preload crash above), a downloaded update would sit pending forever. It's now enabled so the update installs when you close the app
