@henkaa please give me more info about the path. |
|
Hope this is more (and wanted) information. Otherwise, just state more details of what you need :) Here is a working block (with abs path) Preferebly we would like this format, since it is easier for us coworkers and would also work on our repositories CD/CI. Our CI/CD is a GitLab repository, just for info. Here is the wanted format, but as text file, so you have the complete file. I obscured our repository link (you will not be able to reach it anyway. timespan-application.yml is a regular Spring-Boot application properties file. |

@henkaa please show your directory structure. |
|
@henkaa BTW. please provider the debug log by adding the --debug flag. |
|
No worries :) |
|
@henkaa if you run |

When I use helm directly and files are in another folder than "Working folder", I also have to use double backslashes for it to work. As you can see from the log file attached, it fails when we use only one backslash. For two backslash or one forward slash, it works. |
|
@henkaa fixed. could you try to use the latest version by building the main branch? |
|
Stupid question, but how do I build it? I have never worked with go-builds :) |
|
@henkaa could you use docker? if so, you can use canary image: docker pull ghcr.io/helmfile/helmfile:canary |
|
Have docker desktop. But I have a question here. And just do be sure. When running via Docker. Are we guaranteed that this tests the Windows path correctly? |
|
@henkaa yeah. it's a question. please wait for the latest binary. Thanks. |

@henkaa 0.155.0 released. please enjoy it. if have any new questions. please post a new issue. |

Me and my colleague are trying to get helmfile working for our helm charts, but we both run into trouble when using files in folders in the set file section.
We are both running helm and helmfile on a Windows 10 system (have tried both cmd and Powershell with same result) and both helm and helmfile is installed and maintained via scoop. helmfile is latest version.
Example from the helmfile.yaml
When I run lint on it I get this output
ARGS:
0: helm (4 bytes)
1: lint (4 bytes)
2: C:\Users\henand2\AppData\Local\Temp\helmfile3968896767\cda2-test\timespan-rest\cda2\timespan-rest\latest\timespan-rest (118 bytes)
3: --namespace (11 bytes)
4: cda2-test (9 bytes)
5: --values (8 bytes)
6: C:\Users\henand2\AppData\Local\Temp\helmfile2343919300\cda2-test-timespan-rest-values-574f6f4f6d (96 bytes)
7: --set-file (10 bytes)
8: applicationyaml=local\timespan-application.yml (46 bytes)
ERROR:

STDERR:
Error: failed parsing --set-file data: open localtimespan-application.yml: The system cannot find the file specified.
COMBINED OUTPUT:
Error: failed parsing --set-file data: open localtimespan-application.yml: The system cannot find the file specified.
There seems to be a "transformation" of slashes made, and on windows, one backslash is not enough. We have tried using following variants, all with the same outcome:
local/timespan-application.yml
local\/timespan-application.yml
local\timespan-application.yml
local\\timespan-application.yml
Are we doing something wrong or have we run into a bug here?
