If you tried this and it did not go smoothly, I would like to hear about it, even if you gave up.
Right now setup asks you for three environment variables and a Sync ID that lives under Settings, Show advanced settings, in Actual. That is more than it should be, and I have a suspicion that some people install it, hit one of those steps, and quietly close the tab. I have no way of knowing, because a failed install looks exactly like no install at all.
So: what stopped you, or what did you have to figure out that the README did not tell you?
A couple of things I already know are rough, in case it saves you typing:
The budget ID is not obvious. If you grabbed the wrong identifier you get "Budget not found", which reads like you copied it wrong when actually it is the wrong field entirely. This one caught me out too, in my own project.
Nothing tells you whether it connected until you ask it something.
You do not need to file a proper bug report. A sentence is plenty. If it worked first try, that is also worth saying, because right now I genuinely cannot tell the difference between "works fine" and "nobody got that far".
