Still problems moving tiny objects on iPad tablet #574

@grandmaofdragonz, I think I see why it happens. On a touch screen the handles around a body catch your finger from about 15 pixels away, so around a very small body those zones cover the whole body, and a touch on it grabs a handle and resizes instead of moving. I have changed that: when a selected body is very small on the screen, the handles lose their wide catch zone and the middle of the body stays free for dragging. I tried it with touch emulation in the browser, not on an iPad, so please tell me if it is still hard after the next release. Until then: in the Properties panel you can type the position, X and Y, so no aiming is needed, or you zoom in far, move, and zoom out again. layerling is free; if it helps you and you want to support it, a small donation at https://layerling.com/support.html is very welcome. |

Wow, I post an issue last night and this morning it’s fixed! 🎉 Thank you! Yes I gave it a quick test and it works well. If I want to MOVE the tiny item I just touch it and move it immediately; if I touch and pause or hold, the resizing handles stay functional. This is amazing, thanks again! |

From earlier discussions it looks like the controls for moving small objects have already been improved, but I’m still having difficulty. I need to move a very tiny object that I want to duplicate and distribute over the surface of a larger object, but it’s hard to make the object move rather than resizing it. If I zoom way in and move slowly it sometimes works but is a challenge. Is there any way to add movement control arrows, or a very large handle that could be turned on and off? Or please suggest any other tricks I should try.
