  • Add a Commands page, move the README content here, and name 3.1.0b6 The CLI README had the command table, the global options and the files of the CLI. They are now on the Commands page. Home gets the shield, video and Discord links. Install tells you how to install a firmware file by hand. Beta Channel, Known Issues and Contributing name 3.1.0b6 and the new DEVELOPMENT.md files.

  • Rewrite Home, Install and the sidebar for the 3.1.0 stable release

  • Correct the 2.0.x upgrade failure mode, and dev test's channel Both corrections come from measurement against three boards on 3.1.0. Install.md section 5 described the 2.0.x-CLI-on-3.x-firmware failure as partial -- verify and blank giving an unknown-command error, a write losing its blank check. That is wrong. A 2.0.9 CLI cannot connect to 3.1.0 firmware at all: it times out on every port and every command fails with "No compatible programmer found on any port", firestarter fw included. It never reaches a command on the chip. The section now shows the prompt that springs the trap and the error that follows, both verbatim. Testing-Chips opened with "You need the beta". `dev test` is registered on the stable channel -- channel.BETA_ONLY_DEV_COMMANDS does not list it, and a stable 3.1.0 build offers `dev read` and `dev test`. The beta is still the place for newer chip support and the other dev commands, so the page now says which is which. Install.md's Next section no longer routes chip testing through the beta page on that false premise.

  • Add Install and Known Issues; scope Breaking Changes to the beta channel - Install: the stable-channel counterpart to Install Beta, with a section on upgrading from 2.0.x that has no equivalent there. A 2.0.x CLI offers firmware it cannot drive once a stable 3.x exists, and the error the user sees first does not say "upgrade the CLI". - Known Issues: AT28C256 and the AT28C family, SST39SF040, AE29F2008 erase, TMS27C010A. States plainly that AE29F2008 is both a validated row and an open erase failure, because the validated list records one sweep, not every command. Parallel EEPROM support is unverified by design and says so. - Breaking Changes: the preamble claimed everything on the page was beta-only without saying what the stable channel actually is. It now names 2.0.9 and firmware 2.0.6. New entry for the CLI refusing firmware newer than itself. - Cross-links from Home, Install Beta, Testing Chips and Contributing.
