On the winget download source is the latest version 0.18.7. can anyone perform an update?

It always takes a bit for them to merge the PR: microsoft/winget-pkgs#419120

its been a week, the default windows installer is winget. can you push this at all?

I left a comment but I don't think there's anything else I can do. We always get the Validation-Executable-Error because the agent needs to be supplied with a key or it exits non-zero immediately. I don't know of any workaround besides waiting for them to approve it.
