Thank you to the developers for creating the program. I have been using the product for a long time, and for the most part, everything works for me.
I have a question that is not so much about the program but about Windows architecture. Sometimes I use virtual machines under Hyper-V. I am curious whether it is possible to use simplewall running on the host to filter traffic. Currently, I see that when I open an Internet resource from the virtual machine, there are no entries about that traffic in simplewall.log. However, when I access the host from the virtual machine, simplewall.log does contain entries about incoming traffic.
I understand that when I access an Internet resource from a virtual machine connected to the "Default switch" in Hyper-V, the host acts as a router performing NAT.
I understand that simplewall is not designed for such a scenario. Besides, I can simply use simplewall inside the virtual machine if I need to filter that virtual machine's traffic.
Nevertheless, I am wondering if it is possible to make simplewall running on the host see the traffic passing between the virtual machine and the Internet resource.
