⚠️ Upgrade Notes

Upgrading from v2.x? v3.3.1 was the last version with v2.x migration support. If you go directly from v2.x to v3.5.3, the integration will fail to load and you'll need to remove and re-add it (your Tado account and zones will be rediscovered, but custom settings will need to be reconfigured). To avoid this, upgrade to v3.3.1 first, then to v3.5.3.

Looking ahead to v4.0: Please make sure you're on v3.5.3 before upgrading to v4.0 when it arrives. Direct v2.x → v4.0 upgrades will not be supported.

Requires Home Assistant 2025.11+ (needed for the retry_after API quota feature).

Bug Fix

• Fixed thermal analytics sensors (Heating Acceleration, Approach Factor) showing extreme values when HomeKit is connected — duplicate readings from HomeKit and cloud arriving simultaneously are now deduplicated

Improvements

• Window detection reacts in real time with HomeKit — responds to every temperature push instead of waiting for the next poll
• Heating rate and acceleration sensors use the live HomeKit temperature stream for better accuracy
• Insights (mold risk, comfort, humidity trends) now prefer HomeKit data when available
• Weather compensation loads full outdoor temperature history at startup
• Pending temperature changes and device operations are logged when dropped during HA restart
• Diagnostics dump includes data flow health (fetch timestamps, HomeKit/Bridge status, persistence state)

How to Install / Update

From beta.3: HACS → Tado CE → ⋮ → Redownload → tick "Need a different version?" → select v4.0.0-beta.4 → restart HA. No config changes needed.
