C++2 is rather cumbersome. Are you looking for name suggestions? Or do you have any yourself?

I personally like C± (non unicode: C+-, file .cpm). As it is C "sort of". But I'd be interested in it having its own name! Otherwise it is sort of what it tries not to be, that is, something stuck onto an old thing in an odd way :P

Thanks for the ideas! Actually it's not C++2, because avoiding non-alnum characters was one of the considerations.

Ah I see. Though cpm is alphanumeric, the same way cpp is! Strictly referring to it as cpp (or cpp2) seems awkward though. It won't attract newcomers: "hey let's learn this established language Cpp2!", is not something I expect young students to say. It also won't attract a community if it is called some obscure name like that, I think.

As for domain names, that is trivial? If it is part of the existing C++ standard's meetings, then it could for a while be hosted on existing C++ platforms such as cplusplus.com.

Or just use any platform, as long as it is consistent. Bluesky doesn't have its own domain name. But an awkward "good enough" one.
