Expand the modulation matrix toward modular routing

I came across Lunar Modulator while looking at other FM-1 projects, and really liked some of its modulation ideas.

Wanted

More flexible modulation routing: allow modulation sources to also control other modulation sources/modules, rather than only synth parameters.

For example:

ENV → LFO RATE → CUTOFF
VEL → LFO DEPTH → E1
RAND → SLEW → CUTOFF

Possible additions could be:

• more than 4 modulation slots
• another LFO
• S&H / Chance
• Function Generator
• Slew
• Gate / Retrigger

Notes

Felucca already has a nice SRC → DST → AMT modulation matrix, so I think this could be expanded incrementally without changing the basic concept.

Just some ideas I liked from Lunar that could be interesting for Felucca.

Nice ideas. Modulating the modulators (LFO rate, depth) and a few more sources like S&H or slew would fit the matrix well. More slots and extra LFOs cost RAM, which is very tight on the FM-1, so I'll see what fits. Noted for a later version.

The matrix has two new sources, S&H (a random value held for one LFO cycle) and SLEW (the same values gliding), and a new destination, DEPTH, the LFO's depth. With RATE and DEPTH as destinations, the matrix can now modulate the LFO itself, so things like ENV → LFO DEPTH or MODW → DEPTH work. The LFO can also sync to the tempo now (LFO 2).

More slots, a second LFO and a function generator would need RAM the FM-1 doesn't have right now, so I'll keep this open for those. Thanks @gospodindilly-ops!
