Good catch, and you're right: with ROUT CH1-4, channels 5–16 should not play anything. SEL is the mode for "everything plays the selected track". I'll change CH1-4 so it only listens to channels 1–4 in the next update. |

Done in Felucca 1.0.3: with ROUT CH1-4, channels 5–16 are now ignored, and ROUT SEL still plays the selected track from every channel. Thanks again for raising it. |

Hi! I have a question about the behavior of
ROUT = CH1-4.In a setup with multiple MIDI devices, MIDI Note messages may be coming in on different channels even though they are not intended for the FM-1 at all.
Currently, in
CH1-4mode:Because of this, any incoming note on channels 5–16 still triggers the currently selected Felucca track, even if that MIDI data is meant for another device in the setup.
As a result, there is no way to reserve MIDI channels that Felucca simply ignores.
Based on the name
CH1-4, I would rather expect the behavior to be:The
SELmode already seems to cover the case where incoming MIDI should play the currently selected track regardless of channel. Is the current
CH1-4behavior intentional? And if not, what would be the better approach: change
CH1-4so that channels 5–16 are ignored, or keep the current behavior for compatibility and add a separate mode such asCH1-4 ONLY?All reactions
