HOME as Shift / function lock

Another idea would be to make HOME work as a Shift/modifier button when held.
For example, holding HOME + another button could lock or open the corresponding secondary function layer, instead of accidentally switching screens or pages.
This could provide a consistent way to access the extra functions while keeping the normal buttons and screens unchanged.
It might also make some of the more advanced features much easier to access without adding any new physical controls.

Thanks! Holding HOME already opens the menu, so a HOME shift would need some rearranging, but a consistent way to reach the second functions is something I want too. I'm looking at it for 1.1 together with #44. Keeping this open.
