Parameter locks / step automation #75

Thanks for the detailed ideas, and for the offer to test, that's very welcome! MOTION already stores values per step, so parameter locks (hold a step, turn a knob) are the natural next step. They're planned for 1.1. Keeping this open. |

Parameter locks are in Felucca 1.1.5: https://github.com/hugelton/Felucca/releases/tag/v1.1.5 On SEQ > STEP (or the drum grid), hold a step and turn KNOB 1–4: those parameters take that value on that step only (the four on the sound page you looked at last: the filter, the envelope and so on). EDIT with the step held clears its locks. The new SEQ > AUTO LIST page shows a track's locks and automation as a list, where you can move them to another step, change the parameter or the value, turn a lock into automation, or add one. SAVE held undoes lock edits. Thanks for asking for it (and for #53) @gospodindilly-ops! Locks share the 64 automation records of the four tracks for now; more room is on my list. I'll close this one, feedback is very welcome. |
Uh oh!

One feature I’d really love to see is parameter locks / step automation.
Being able to store parameter changes per step would make the sequencer much more powerful — filter, pitch, FX, modulation, etc.
Since Felucca already has motion recording/automation, it feels like this could fit very naturally into the existing system.
And just a little note from my side: the firmware is already really great, and I’d genuinely love to help make it even better.
I’m not a coder, unfortunately, so I can’t really contribute on the programming side, but I have a lot of experience using different hardware synths, grooveboxes, sequencers and other musical gear. I’d be very happy to contribute ideas, test features, give feedback, and help from the user/performer side.
Really appreciate all the work that’s going into Felucca!
