Thanks! Using SELECT for pages is a nice idea, and you're right that BPM is also on GLO > GLOBAL. I'm thinking of a setting for it (SELECT = BPM or PAGES). Latching the layers has started too: 1.0.2's MENU > FX LATCH makes the FX keys toggle, so you don't have to hold them. Keeping this open for 1.1. |

i think using this for the most crucial part aka navigating makes sense and mvave did it right, but i think having it as an option between bpm would be limiting in cleaning up the navigation: for example i was thinking about pages inside of the sequencer, so we could go to the next page from the one that has ratching etc and itd have the select option that we now have and option move which would use for example knob2 to move around the selected step around. and on pressing seq again we would get the pattern view, the motion view etc and they could have their own pages |

One thing that could make FM6 editing much smoother is changing how we move between its parameter pages. Currently, accessing a parameter can require up to 8 button presses to reach the right page, and around 5 presses on the SAVE-related pages. This makes editing FM6 sounds feel unnecessarily slow. Could the SELECT encoder be used to switch between parameter groups for the currently selected operator, instead of requiring repeated button presses to cycle through OPERATOR, OPERATOR 2 and OP ENV? Ideally, this would reduce the number of button presses needed to access a parameter to just 2–3, while keeping the current navigation behaviour on pages where it already works well. The goal is to make FM6 sound design faster and more direct, without removing access to any existing parameters. |
Uh oh!

what if you added back the select button to travel through pages (for example sequencer has gotten quite lengthy now with 6 pages) and have double clicking of for example fx to go through the normal view and the current "hold" view so we dont have to hold the stuff.
i dont think changing bpm is needed that much to be assigned to a knob, we still have it in global if we want.
i think this would really speed up the workflow
