1.0 has a new, clearer font (Inter Tight) and 8 palettes, including high contrast and grayscale. Larger text would still be welcome; a PR, or a sketch of which screens matter most to you, would help. Keeping this open. |

1.0.2 doesn't have bigger text yet, but here's what I'm considering: a LARGE VALUES option that shows the value of the knob you're turning across the middle of the screen, about twice the normal size, while the rest of the screen stays the same. Would that help you? And which screens are hardest for you to read? Your answer will help me decide what to enlarge first. Meanwhile, 1.0.2's MONO palette (black and white) and HI-CON may be easier on the eyes. |

Hey @kurogedelic, sorry I haven't had time to answer yet! I think a zoom mode would be cool, but for me the problem is knowing what the rotary encoders do for each screen in the first place, perhaps being more familiar with the engines and developing muscle memory would help in the long run, but some screens have four pages so it would take some time :) I haven't validated on a real device yet, but I think having a mode like this would be a lot easier on the eyes at the expense of having smaller wave, ADSR, sequencer etc.

Thank you again for describing this so clearly, and sorry it took a while. Felucca 1.0.3 adds a LARGE option to the menu (hold HOME, then LARGE: ON). With it on, HOME and the sound pages (EDIT, ENV, LFO, FX, SCL, ARP, MIXER and so on) show the four knob cards much taller: each card is marked K1 to K4 above its knob, the name is in a bigger font, and the value is about twice as large as before. The graphs underneath become a small strip (the scope, the envelope, the LFO, the pattern, the mixer), and on pages where a small graph would not be readable, the strip shows the page name and number in large letters instead, e.g. "OSC 1/4", so you can tell which of an engine's pages you are on. Lists and the step editor (PRESETS, the piano roll, the drum grid, SONG) keep their layout because they need the room, but their card labels are larger too. Some long values (for example -100 or SAW) still use the normal size because they do not fit at the large size. I would be very glad to hear whether the sizes work for you, and which pages are still hard to read. |

Uh oh!

Hi! Thanks for an amazing firmware.
What would you think of a PR to add screens for the visually impaired? I find the text really hard to read since it’s so small!
