Highlights

  • Plugin system v1 — source-code-compatible plugin ABI with a Win32 shim that lets real Notepad++ plugins build and run on macOS.
  • ComparePlus plugin — first third-party plugin fully ported: menu wiring, Settings and Compare Options dialogs, visual filters, and color wells (kept in sRGB).
  • Plugin host contract — implemented NPPM_GETMENUHANDLE, stable buffer IDs, buffer/file-operation messages, and NPPN_BUFFERACTIVATED/NPPN_BEFORESHUTDOWN/NPPN_TBMODIFICATION notifications.
  • Lexer / folding fixes — HTML tag folding now works (fold.html set), and lexer.xml.allow.scripts is reset on language switch.
  • Signed & notarized — .app and DMG are signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Install

Download MacNotePlusPlus.dmg, open it, and drag MacNote++ into Applications.
